Kick-Off Trip to Ghana

Earlier this year, members of the PB Trade team travelled to Ghana for a series of meetings and site visits across the country. During the visit, the team met with government representatives, traditional leaders, project partners, educators, entrepreneurs, farmers, and local businesses to continue conversations around a number of current and future initiatives.

Over the course of the trip, the team toured the Reverend John Teye Memorial Institute as plans for its redevelopment continue to move forward, visited the Western Deedew rice farm and processing centre to learn more about its operations, met with Maltiti A. Enterprise Limited to discuss support for women-led agricultural production in Northern Ghana, and took part in a panel discussion celebrating and supporting women entrepreneurs.

We also visited a number of project sites and met with organizations working across education, agriculture, infrastructure, and community development. Each visit provided an opportunity to better understand local priorities, continue building the relationships that support our work, and identify new opportunities.

The visit marked an important step in strengthening PB Trade’s presence in Ghana. Working alongside our team at 1993 PB Trade and Commodity Ltd., it allowed us to reconnect with long-standing collaborators, meet new ones, and begin the next phase of work across a number of initiatives.
