PB Trade was born from the vision of an independent entrepreneur determined to bridge international trade corridors that traditional institutions overlooked. More than 35 years ago, Founder and CEO Pegi S. Bautista Bernez launched what began as PB Marketing Company, personally funding operations, navigating new markets from the ground up, and leading cross-continental trade missions to connect buyers, sovereign leaders, and producers across Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and the United States.
That hands-on approach defined the firm from day one. Recognizing early on that viable commercial ventures and vital infrastructure projects routinely stalled due to structural liquidity gaps, Pegi expanded the firm’s mandate into global structured finance. By aligning private capital, institutional lenders, and asset-backed instruments, she built direct pathways to make ambitious projects bankable and executable.
What began as tailored trade matchmaking has evolved into a multinational enterprise, with teams, capabilities, and operations around the world, still guided by the same independent vision and ground-level execution that established it.
Projects don't always fit into a single category. A financing need may lead to a trade opportunity. A trade opportunity may require infrastructure. Infrastructure can strengthen local businesses, support supply chains, and create new opportunities for the communities around it.
That's why we work across connected disciplines rather than focusing on just one. By seeing the bigger picture, we can solve more of the challenges a project faces and create solutions that are stronger because every piece has been considered.

More than three decades ago, I began this journey with a fundamental belief: true economic development requires both reliable capital and trusted, on-the-ground relationships. We built PB Trade from the ground up, investing our own resources, understanding the real needs behind every opportunity, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the partners and communities we serve.
Today, whether we are structuring major energy grids, facilitating critical sovereign infrastructure, or championing regional agricultural initiatives, our focus extends well beyond individual transactions. We are dedicated to creating lasting, self-sustaining value that empowers communities across generations.
This enduring commitment to the growth and prosperity of the communities we serve has led to one of the greatest honors of my life: being bestowed the traditional titles of Zosimli-Naa and Gumo Malgu-Naa in the Dagbon Kingdom of Ghana. They serve as a constant reminder that true leadership is rooted in service, trust, and measurable impact.
